Today, Thursday November 20, 2014, President Obama announced his Executive Actions on Immigration. It can be briefly summarized here:

From DHS:
1. Strengthen Border Security
2. Revise Removal Priorities
3. Use a new Priority Enforcement Program (PEP)4. ICE Officers Personnel Reform
5. Revise parole rules

From USCIS:
1. Expand DACA Program to young arrivals who came to the US before turning 16 and been present since 01/01/2010, and extend DACA and work authorization to 3 years.
2. Implement a new Deferred Action for parents of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents who have been in the U.S. since 01/01/2010
3. Expand provisional waiver of unlawful presence to spouse and children of lawful permanent resident and children of U.S. citizens
4. Support high-skilled business and workers
5. Promote citizenship education

The hope to “fix” broken immigration system goes on.
** NOTE: USCIS Will not accept applications from this Executive Actions until 90 days after today (November 20, 2014) for expanded DACA or 180 days after today for Deferred action for parents of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents.
